Subject: [LIMITS] Call for Applications: ICT4S Summer School 2020 - ICT for
Sustainability
Hello everyone,
As we all know, ICT *can* play a central role in the transition to
sustainable societies, but often makes things worse. Our ICT4S summer
school explores systemic interactions between ICT, society, economy &
environment. It seems odd to announce a summer school in these times, but
we’re cautiously optimistic about the timeline – late August - and the
Lorentz Center hosting this summer school is working on covid contingency
plans if necessary.
Please spread the word!
Best wishes,
Christoph Becker

The Lorentz Center is a Dutch national center for international workshops
in all scientific disciplines. Its guiding philosophy is that innovative
research thrives on interaction between creative researchers. Lorentz
Center workshops focus on new collaborations and on interactions in highly
diverse groups of researchers – international and with different scientific
viewpoints as well as seniority, gender, and culture.
The Lorentz Center receives structural financial support by Leiden
University, and by the Dutch research councils Netherlands Organisation for
Scientific Research NWO.
