TO BILL


priests  &  happy  people

   in their epic super-8

seesaw wood up & down

the whole arienette
        gonna collapse

silver,   in cool sleep

    dream    the heart had a

                               stem cell



TO ELSA


word,   cranial,   bud antennae

on the phone your
voice
crashes open the cylinder

   all existant layers

     plowed through—

we have entered a time
of consequences

   all  full of  hair-blood


i can only say my heart breathes

   pumps verdure light



TO JOAN MARIE


is death which jerks us out of tenacious

          minute organisms

every manifestation of our own



     Nakedness

a state of continuity through

                       business



TO JO


beautiful blood, beautiful brain

god knows i work hard to escape

bloody snob, ezra
  meant “jewels”—

alas, poor old

   masters

let me indulge the

  american letter:


“i of course like your old man, and
i have drunk his Goldwasser”
