ACLU on spam (fwd)

I think the ACLU wants to maximize speech (communication??) above all
else.  But the spammers don't--that's why they hide behind forged
addresses.  So why doesn't the ACLU fight that? 

How many other laws would we need if we had just one, nationwide, that
required the sender's true e-mail address on every message?
