SCN is a member of an open access coalition (Joel is the representative)
and has sent a letter to all the City Council members supporting open
access. It is a well thought out position and one that we take seriously.
If you want more information you can find it at
http://www.waisp.org/ppcatv.htm and

This is the reaction to the FCC's report

"In a letter sent to Kennard today, the Center for Media Education,
Consumer Federation of America, Consumers Union, Media Access Project, and
OMB Watch said they are "distressed" that the commission released a report
"evidently intended to dissuade local franchising authorities from
insisting that cable TV franchisees offer consumers the opportunity to
choose among competing Internet service providers."
