E-mail: public or private?

One of the issues at stake is the definition of broadcast..
If it is broadcast (and the web really is a broadcast compared to phone
lines) then the laws are differnt...
Are emails of government officials public....
Electronic medium has from government "elected officials" since the Nixon
tapes has been pretty well covered....anyway if I pay an employee then
his/her email is mine....so far thats what the courts have tended to
rule...we pay the polititans (ever noticed that word looks like pollution)
so it would stand to reason...
there is a great newsletter out there called....
