The user home page project is of so wide an interest
that I don't understand why you don't consider it worth
mentioning on a list that more people subscribe to.

No wonder so many people are in the dark so often, about
so many things.

That's a fond hope. But there are still quite a few people
who hardly bother to inform anyone else what's happening, about
any number of fairly important things. Has anyone other than a
few Board members ever seen the slightest glimpse of the SCNA
budget, for example? Copies of it weren't even made available at
the two board meetings I attended, while the board was
discussing SCNA expenditures.

There are two philosophies here, I think. One is "Let's keep
everything on a very fragmented 'need to know' basis as much as
possible, so that any given person knows as little as possible,
outside of a few Board members," and "Let's try to include as
many SCNA people as possible in the general knowledge about
what's going on."
