Elections

I am perplexed by all this wishy washy behavior.
There was a general meeting, 30 or more people
discussed the election process for over a half
an hour. There was a call for candidates, people
were nominated, they were given an opportunity to
accept or decline the nomination. A menu was
created on SCN with a forum to discuss the election
and to offer a Q & A for the membership to question
the candidates.

One person voices a serious doubt about the timing
and procedure of the election and suddenly the whole
thing looks like it may be scraped.

This is not how organizations flourish, when you start
a process like this with the apparent approval of the
SCN organization, it should be seen through to the end.
Maybe there were some mistakes made in planning and
implementing this election, we can live with our mistakes.
Luckly this is a virtual board that will be replaced or
augmented in the near future.

There needs to be some consistency here, when we say we are
going to do something, we should do it. All this second
guessing, "Monday Morning Quarterbacking" is only going to
make matters worse.

Lets use this election as a primer on how to and how not to
do our next more important election.
