The YWCA's Young Women's Leadership Institute- A 1999 KCTS Golden Apple Award winner-seeks diverse qualified women to volunteer as "personal coaches" for low-income, high school urban girls. This 15-month program empowers girls to achieve personal goals in an environment that challenges, supports and celebrates them.
